Built to Last

Helical Pier Footings – The Gold Standard

Most contractors use traditional concrete footings, which can shift over time. We use helical pier footings, which provide superior stability, prevent settling, and perform better in Minnesota’s freeze-thaw cycles.

Kiln-Dried After Treatment (KDAT) Lumber

Typical treated lumber is installed wet and shrinks as it dries, causing warping, twisting, and uneven surfaces. We use KDAT framing, which is pre-dried for better stability, reducing movement and future maintenance issues.

12” Joist Spacing -Stronger, Sturdier

Most builders space deck joists 16” on center, the minimum required by code. We frame at 12” on center, which increases strength, reduces bounce, and ensures a more solid, long-lasting deck.

Joist Tape Protection – Extending Deck Lifespan

We apply joist tape to all decks, acting as an umbrella over the joists. This prevents moisture penetration, reducing rot and increasing the longevity of your deck’s structure.
